Catlin 14393-c's Story...
Catlin is a shy little girl who really seems to like people. She was surrendered by her owners because of behavior issues and not getting along with the home's other cat. We have found Catlin to be a little nervous but ultimately seems to like people, and appreciates toys - especially a feather toy on a string! Catlin is a sweet cat waiting to come into her own; we think Catlin would be happy in a home with respectful children older than six years. She needs a situation where she can recover her sense of security, where she knows she is safe and loved. Do you have what she needs?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Catlin 14393-c, a Ithaca Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Ithaca, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Ithaca.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ithaca already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ithaca breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ithaca paves the way for another one to be saved.
