Chloe's Story...
Chloe (10 years old) is one of the most loving dogs you could ever hope to meet - friendly, affectionate, playful, hopeful, and grateful. She loves to retrieve balls, and will bring them right to you! Everyone who meets her adores her! This gentle chocolate-brown Lab wants nothing more than to be by your side with her head in your lap! Chloe was brought to Lily's Legacy with her daughter (or friend) Phoebe (8 years old) from a overcrowded shelter where they had been at risk of euthanasia because of age and signs of ill-health. They had been found as strays and are presumed to have been used by a puppy-mill or back-yard breeder. Now, both Chloe and Phoebe are getting happier, healthier and more darling every day! They can be adopted together or separately.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chloe, a Petaluma Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Petaluma, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Petaluma.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Petaluma already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Petaluma breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Petaluma paves the way for another one to be saved.
