found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.
Rocket has been in rescue about about two weeks and is feeling so much better! He has been to the vet for his checkup, vaccinations and to be sure the swelling in his ankles was *just* arthritis - and it is. He also got a spiffy new haircut. You can see from the first photo that when Rocket's coat grows back in, he will have a nice rough coat - for now he seems to be enjoying his new haircut in the hot weather. Rocket has his nails trimmed down at the vet too. Rocket is on a diet and has already lost weight. With the weight loss, he is feeling even more spry and he is starting to walk a bit more on his toes (you can see in the photos how he has been walking on a large area of his foot).
Rocket is on pain meds and joint supplements while he loses weight. He will need to remain on the joint supplements, however we hope after he has lost weight, that he will not need pain meds as there will be less stress on his joints.
Rocket is feeling good and loves to be around people. He prances and dances around when he sees his foster mom in the morning. Rocket is ready to have a home of his own again.

Rocket is being fostered in Bellevue, NE.
