MABLE-pending's Story...
We got little Mabel on the 27th of July. She is 8 weeks of age and only 3 pounds 4 oz big. Upon arrival, we gave her a bath and she tolerated it very well, allowing me to completely soak her with little complaint! She handled the new environment very well and was willing to explore without fear. As soon as we got home she started playing with my large lab mix. She is good with both my tiny and large dog. She is great with little children and loves to snuggle in my five year olds arms! Her personality is gentle and loving. She loves to cuddle in your arms and stay by your side. This puppy is an angel, always bubbly and happy, and will make an amazing companion. Smart, playful, and energetic are just a few of her many amazing traits. She is a complete joy to have around the house and will brighten anybody’s day. She sleeps in her crate. When you want her to take a nap, you just have to lay her down and she will fall asleep in minutes! She eats and drinks well. She does her business outside while on a good schedule. She loves to give you puppy kisses and show her love. All in all, Mabel is a spectacular pup and will be a great addition to any family!

UPDATE: Mabel had been with us for a couple days now and she is adjusting very well. She eats very well. She doesn't really use the puppy pads ( only shakes them and runs around with them), but she goes outside every time i take her out. She loves being outside and doesn't want to be picked up or carried. She runs as fast as her little legs lets her just to keep up with my other dogs. If you pick her up she wiggles and grumbles until you put her down, so cute! She sleeps in her crate with her toy and had been doing better every night. Before bed we play and then she sleeps from 11:30 till 6:30. She cried a little the first night, but last night not at all! She is very playful and has no fear and loads of confidence. The cutest is how she thinks she can jump on the couch! She make a run for it and jump as high as she can, all 4 legs lifts of the ground and she doesn't even make it half way up. But she'll keep trying...

This animal is currently fostered in a private home. Our rescue is 100% foster home based. We do not have a shelter or kennel. They are cared for by a loving family until adopted. Each pup has had their first vet exam, a shot, and de-worming, etc We make sure they have no fleas prior to going into our foster homes. They are fostered out of the shelter at least two weeks or more prior to adopting to monitor health. We take their care seriously!

Please note that the adoption appointments will be scheduled after your application is approved. Once adopted, feel free to change the dog's name. You do not have to keep the name listed in this post.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MABLE-pending, a West Milford Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in West Milford, or seeking a Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) puppy from a breeder in West Milford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Milford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Milford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Milford paves the way for another one to be saved.
