My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This adorable and happy guy is Tanis, a Jack Russell terrier that is about 2 1/2 years old. Tanis came to us from our Newark facility in search of a great home when he was turned in due to his owners being unable to care for him any longer. Tanis is such a good little guy that is hoping he doesn't go misunderstood.....he is not a bouncing-off-the-walls type of boy, but rather a good boy that just wants a good home. Naturally he is energetic, as most JRT's are, so he would love a home where he could get some daily exercise, but he is quite content to go for a leisurely stroll and is very good on a leash. Tanis is a friendly little guy who seeks out affection, and he has plenty to give too. He loves his time in our exercise yard but instead of chasing after toys, he would rather check out the trees and observe the world around him. Tanis is very friendly but would we prefer he go to a home with no children under the age of 12. He doesn't seem to mind other dogs so if you'd like to make Tanis a part of your family, please bring your dog in to meet him. Our young guy is very hopeful for a fresh start in life.... please make his dreams come true! 4/26/13 File#22393
