My name is Darwin.

I am an extremely GENTLE, sensitive, and personable 4 year old  Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull mix. I weigh about 65lbs, but I'm essentially just an oversized lap dog (no, really- I am).

What you need to know about me:

I need a stable, structured, and calm home. I am very stressed out whenever I go outside, and prefer to stay home then go on walks or out into public places. The perfect situation for me would be a house with a fenced in yard or patio where I can easily do my business. Just something simple!

I am fearful and insecure around other dogs, but I have slowly made a couple furry friends, including another dog that I am fostered with currently. An owner who is experienced with special needs dogs like me would be best since you understand the need to be patient, and to give me lots of encouragement and leadership.

I am always curious about what you are doing- so if you hear someone tip-toeing behind you, that would be me!  I know basic commands, and I am housetrained- I do not like to be crated, but because I'm such a good boy, my foster mom trusts me alone while she's at work all day.  I also like to sing when I get excited, which is mostly whenever I see you!

I am neutered, microchipped and up to date on all of my shots. If you are interested in meeting me, please contact my foster mom Rachel at info@hollywooftotherescue.org

About 4Life Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Our furry friends come to us in a variety of ways – the streets/strays, owner surrenders, with most of them coming from our local shelters.

Every animal brought in to the 4Life Family is given 100% from us to ensure they are healthy and happy. Like people, no two animals are the same. More often than not, when a new animal comes to us, it takes time to learn who they are, what they like (and who they like) and do not like. We do our best to learn the animals personality, get them on the right path with good manners and basic obedience training, and nurture and love them so their little personalities can shine. There is nothing quite like a happy, healthy, well behaved rescue pet!

Our Adoption Process...

*Adoption Application
*Home check
*Adoption contract
*Non-Negotiable adoption fee ranging from $200 to $300
What the adoption fee covers:
* All medical – All 4Life animals are
up-to-date on vaccinations including Rabies, spayed or neutered, micro-chipped and flea control. In certain cases, some of our rescues require an extensive amount of medical treatment to get them healthy. We will spare no expense when it comes to the health and well being of our animals. Extensive medical costs will never be passed on to the adopting family; but, your adoption fee does help us recover some of the costs.

*Supplies – Food, leash and collar, treats, blankets, toys, bathing/grooming products
*In some cases, animals may need to be boarded or go in to a training program. Again, these costs will never be passed on to the adopting family, but a portion of your adoption fee will help us recover some of the cost.
