Sammy's Story...
Sammy is an 8 week old Aussie Lab mix. He came with his four siblings from a high kill shelter in Alabama. They were found abandoned on a dirt road in the middle of no where. Sammy is very unique looking, because he has some merling on his face and back. This comes from the Aussie side. He's pretty laid back, but loves to play with his siblings.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sammy, a Ocala Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever for sale in Ocala, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Ocala.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ocala already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ocala breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ocala paves the way for another one to be saved.
