Meet Rhett, a loving, very handsome and intelligent male who is anxiously awaiting his forever home. This sweet boy is amazing, as handsome as his name (just like Rhett Butler in Gone with the Wing) and wants nothing more than to please his people while also enjoying life in the great outdoors. Rhett came to GREAT Rescue from a local shelter where he was taken after being found as a stray. He is an energetic boy, as handsome as they come as you can see, with a personality equal to his good looks.
Rhett enjoys the outdoors and really would prefer to live outside as long as there is shelter to keep him from the heat, rain and cold. He enjoys running, exploring and being with other dogs. Not one to shy away from a loving touch, Rhett enjoys being with people who are on the move whether it be playing, hiking or just hanging out in the yard. He's not too fond of cats and does require a fenced large yard. Rhett is 5-6 years old.
We believe him to be a Golden Retriever/Austrailian Shepard mix who has an amazingly beautiful coat. He is neutered, heartworm negative, current on all vaccinations, wormed and in good health. He does take inexpensive meds for seizures which are very much under control. Rhett will be a wonderful addition to a home with a couple, single person or family with active older children.
