Ernie's Story...
I’m 18 lbs. of affectionate Rat Terrier charm. Who could resist my imploring little face & melting eyes? I’m very smart, too. My name’s Ernie. I’m 4 years old & so friendly & sweet with everyone. I like other dogs & cats & am also wonderful with children. Yes, a perfect companion to cuddle close & frolic with you. I’m quite playful & you’re guaranteed endless smiles. Bet you are smiling already just looking at my photos. I’d like a home where I can get consistent exercise & lots of snuggling. I’m healthy, neutered, vaccinated & have been heartworm/Lyme tested. To bring my cuteness into your life, please complete an adoption application at www.radfordpoundpals.org. Or, contact my friends at pals@psknet.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ernie, a Radford Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Radford, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Radford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Radford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Radford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Radford paves the way for another one to be saved.
