My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nina is a sweetheart that loves snuggling and still has much of her puppy curiosity and energy. She Loves all people and showers new friends with kisses. Nina loves everyone! She is still very much a puppy and is learning her basic commands and house manners but she is very loyal and eager to please so she learns quickly. Nina is a medium sized dog, approximately a year old and weighs just 23 lbs.

Here is what else her foster family had to say:

Nina is a very loving dog and is good with people of all ages. She is fine with other dogs and enjoys their company however having come from a pound she is still a little resource possessive around her food, bones, etc. We are working on that with her as she is currently living in a home with several other dogs. She is not the greatest with cats as she does want to chase them. She is not aggressive with them but would need training to stop harassing them. She will chase any cat that runs but it if is a dog savy cat and just sits there, she just ignores them. With the other dogs, she loves to play and be included as part of the pack.

Nina is still very much a puppy and is learning her basic commands and house manners. So far she has learned to sit, shake a paw, and we are working on come and down. She is totally house trained and is very good about letting you know when she needs to relieve herself. She is learning how to walk nicely on leash but still pulls at times. She is crate trained but absolutely hates it and would do best with someone that was home more often than not and didn't need to crate her. She would not do well in an apartment as she will cry when left in the crate. She is still at a teenage stage however and can't be fully trusted in the home alone. She will chew on things she shouldn't and is up for counter surfing if there is anything tasty left about. She is super intelligent however and is learning very quickly what is and is not allowed in the home. I think coming from her background where she had little interaction with living in a home, she is doing amazingly!

Nina is a lot of fun and enjoys playing around the pool, going for walks and playing with the other dogs in the yard. She is quite the snuggler and loves affection and giving kisses to whoever wants them. She is good with even young children and would be a great family pet. She really likes to be involved with people and is funny, loving and really sweet. She is generally quiet and clean in the home. She has a lovely coat that is very easy to care for.

She would be an amazing jogging partner and is very loyal and loving to her people. She can go most everywhere as she loves everyone and is up for just about anything you would want to do. She just needs some finishing touches on her obedience (classes would be a plus) and some confidence building so she can be on her own at times without fussing. Otherwise she would do best with an experienced dog owner and consistent, gentle training. This girl is very intelligent and needs someone that can bring her to her full potential. She needs love, understanding and a patient loving family.

If you think Nina would be a good choice for your situation, please submit an application for consideration.
