Mama Penny's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Mama Penny's Story...
My wonderful foster mom found me at the local shelter after another rescue took my puppies, but not me. She took me home, had me spayed and took care of having some growths on my mammary glands removed. I am doing great and have healed from my surgery and dried up from lactating and am ready for my forever home. I am only 35lbs and about 1-2 years old. and am a lab mix I get along with cats, dogs and am a little shy with new people. I have good manners and dog bark very much or jump up. I am always so happy when my foster mom comes home. I love to be with my human and am what she calls a "velcro dog". My foster mom is not sure how I will be with little children so she would prefer that I be with older children. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mama Penny, a Plainfield Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Plainfield, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Plainfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Plainfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Plainfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Plainfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
