YOGI's Info...

YOGI's Story...
Hi! I'm Yogi, a very energetic and eager to please 5 year old yellow lab. I am a very handsome boy, and have had some professional training now, so my "rough around the edges" description from when I first arrived to the rescue is starting to get smoothed out! I'm a very nice boy, and am just a big ole people lover! I like submissive female dogs, but tend to be too dominant for other male dogs- I guess I'm just a ladies man! I am crate-trained and housebroken, good in the car, and am still working on manners in general. My manners aren't bad, so much as I'm so happy all the time that sometimes that happiness creeps out in a bouncing, goofy way that I can't contain. I would do great in a very active home with a fenced in yard, and my dream home is with someone who runs! Oh, would I love someone to go running with, to feel the wind in my ears, my paws thump-thump-thumping on the pavement in the morning! Where was I? Oh! I'm patiently waiting for my new home, and the rescue will continue to work on my manners so that I am a handsome AND polite boy when you come to meet me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

YOGI, a Palatine Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Palatine, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Palatine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Palatine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Palatine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Palatine paves the way for another one to be saved.
