May's Story...
Hello! My name is May. START II rescued me from a high kill shelter. I am forever grateful and now I'm looking for a place to start my new life. That's where you come in. I need a forever home! I'm very mellow and laid back. I prefer not to be around a lot of commotion. Sometimes I enjoy playing, mostly with toy mice. My favorite pastime is perching in a window and watching the world. There's so much outside to hold my interest! And I love soaking up the warm sun rays! My new forever home needs to provide me with unconditional love, get me some nice perches and cat condo (I'm a tree-dweller!), and create a secure and nourishing environment. I don't get along with other cats, so it is imperative that me new forever family understands this. Please don't think I'll need a playmate in the future. I want all that love to myself!

May is current on her vaccinations, parasite-free, spayed, and tested negative for FIV and FeLV. If you are interested in meeting May, please call Donna at (201) 873-7533 or email startkayne@gmail.com to schedule an appointment.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

May, a Elmwood Park Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Elmwood Park, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Elmwood Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elmwood Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elmwood Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elmwood Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
