Gwynn's Story...
The first step in our adoption process is an application, which you can submit online at It does not obligate you in any way, but we do not arrange meetings or make telephone contact until we have one. Gwynn is a puppy found with her littermates in a box beside the road, so we don’t know her heritage. Our best guess is that she is a Chihuahua/Pug mix. Her estimated date of birth is May 31, 2013. Gwynn will probably weigh 10 to 15 pounds at maturity. She is available on a “Foster to Adopt” basis until she is old enough to be altered (approximately mid-September), at which time Little Bits will arrange for her spay surgery and her adoption can be finalized. Gwynn’s adoption donation of $150, payable at the time of her final adoption, will include her spay surgery and all age appropriate shots. She will not be placed in a home with children under the age of 10 years. Gwynn is only available to a home within a one hour drive of the metro-Birmingham area. If you are interested in adopting this sweet baby, the first step is to submit an APPLICATION.

We do not place any dog in a home with "invisible" or underground fencing.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gwynn, a Mooy Chihuahua/Pug puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Pug for sale in Mooy, or seeking a Chihuahua/Pug puppy from a breeder in Mooy.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mooy already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mooy breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Pug breeders who help with Chihuahua/Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mooy paves the way for another one to be saved.
