My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Stella!

I am a special girl because I am deaf. But that doesn't stop me from anything. I am an active girl that needs exercise. I love to play tug, wrestle, and tag oh, and I am really good at "keep away". I also love going to daycare. I am good with dogs of all sizes, and I am also good with cats! I sometimes like to chase them though, but only when they run. But for the most part, I forget that they are around.

I love attention, and will follow you around. But I am not overly needy. I am really good when it comes to meeting new people. I am very trusting of all people.

I have not been around many kids. But my foster parents think that I would be very gentle with them; especially since I don't jump on people. (I have pretty good manners)

Some of my favorite things include: snuggling on the couch and in bed, playing with my foster siblings. I love going to daycare and making new friends. I love to eat, but have a sensitive tummy! I also like chewing on yummy bones. There are not many things that I don't like, especially since I am deaf, I am a pretty easy going girl. Over the summer, my foster mama even took me to Harley Davidson events, and I did awesome. I did awesome with the people and I didn't even notice all the bikes.

Since I am deaf, some of the hand commands that I know, are "sit", "come", and "off". I also know when people are excited to see me, because they wave their hands all over; so that gets me excited too.

I do best in a crate when my foster parents are away. I can sometimes like to chew stuff, that I know I probably shouldn't. But I like the crate! Every time I go in, I get a treat! So I like the crate! I am completely potty trained.

I also love to go for car rides. I love to look out the windows when we drive around. I need some help walking on a leash though, I get soo excited being out, I pull a little more than I should and sometimes choke myself.

I love to look out the windows at home. But sometimes I bark too much, or play too much. But that's okay, my foster parents know that all it ever takes to correct me is a squirt bottle. I hate that thing.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our adoptable Cupids we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We think what is more important is to get to know each dog as an individual and then do our best to describe each of our adoptable Cupids based on their personality in order to determine if they will make a good companion based on your lifestyle. We dot like a dog to be "labeled". Dog behavior is not a breed thing exclusively. It is a complex mix of nature and nurture.

All Adoption Fees Include:

Certificate of Veterinarian Inspection
