Sharkie's Story...
OMG what a cutie pie this guy is!! Sharkie was very scared and shy when he got here, he spent the first two days hiding in a corner during playtime. But now that he is comfortable with us and his new play buddies he is a real spitfire. He and Cilantro love to rough house and roll around outside. Sharkie is just such a love bug too, how can you not want to snuggle that! He is the petite under 8 pound size that everyone is looking for. He is neutered, up to date on vax and on monthly heart worm prevention. He still needs to have some dental work done (he never lost his puppy teeth and his adults came in as well, so now he actually has two rows of front teeth until we get the baby teeth pulled). Hence the name Sharkie. To schedule a time to meet him (I know you will fall in love with him) call us at 931-698-0303 or email You can schedule an appointment during the week, or you can come by 300 West 12th Street Columbia on Saturdays between 9;30-3;30 without an appointment. An adoption fee of $150 is required which goes toward the medical needs and rescue of another dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sharkie, a Columbia Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Columbia, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Columbia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbia paves the way for another one to be saved.
