HONEY's Story...
In August of 2012, Precious Paws took in a kitten, Olive, that was in the mouths of two dogs in a tug of war. She was rescued by a woman that pulled this kitten out of their mouths. The kitten was severely injured. Precious Paws took her to a specialist, she could not use her back legs and we had to express her colon and bladder because she could not go on her own. Eventually, Olive, was able to eliminate on her own, get around, play, a very happy girl, who didn’t know that she was handicapped at all. At six months old Olive started having uncontrollable seizures and was in such pain she had to be put down. It was devastating to us all. Olive had a fan club on Facebook that followed the journey of her short life. Olive had a sibling that was not found for a long time. She was fed on the street as a stray. She showed up pregnant one day. The woman who had saved Olive had moved, the house owner called this woman and said this cat was there pregnant. She took her to her home and let her have her babies. Precious Paws has had Olive’s sister, Tigre, and her four kittens fixed, vaccinated, blood tested negative for fiv/felv and microchipped.

Honey is one of those kittens, she is one of the three that need their forever homes. Precious Paws is currently looking for forever homes for Honey, her sister, Lil' Monster and brother, Oreo.

Honey is a light brown tabby girl, very petite. She was born on April 3. She is so pretty in person. Very sweet girl.

INFO: Our feline rescues have been Blood Tested and are Negative, unless otherwise indicated. Included in Adoption Fee: Current status with Vaccinations, Spay or Neuter, Parasite Treatments as needed, Blood Testing, Vet visit as needed, Two Week Trial Period, Lifetime Return Policy and ALL of our rescues are Microchipped.

AS A GENERAL RULE: We do not place kittens or cats as ONLY pets. This is our general rule but there are some that would do better as only pets.

NOTE: Photos of cats/kittens with cage bars, or merchandise, in the background have been taken during one of our adoption events. (We do not keep our rescues caged!) Cats/Kittens are sometimes scared at the adoption events so their photos will NOT do them justice.

For additional information, or to schedule a time to see this cat, SEND US AN EMAIL (please do not call us) and PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR PHONE NUMBER IN THE EMAIL

Thank you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

HONEY, a Encino Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Encino, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Encino.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Encino already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Encino breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Encino paves the way for another one to be saved.
