My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! My name is Captain Courageous, but my friends just call me "Captain". I am a 2 year old Australian Shepherd weighing 45 lbs. I earned my name due to how brave I was after I had a very bad accident. I was hit by a car and dragged, resulting in a very serious wound to my left front leg. I was taken to the shelter, and was in danger of being put to sleep. I was rescued, and taken straight to a wonderful vet who was dedicated to saving my leg! In spite of the pain and fear, I was a sweet and gentle boy with these people I had never met before. It has been several weeks since I was injured and I am healing very well. While I love my foster family, I am now looking for my forever home. Whoever adopts me will be so lucky. I am just an amazing dog. I'm smart, loving and very loyal. I am great with children, other dogs and I even tolerate cats! Since being injured, I have become a little spoiled, so I have been working on some basic commands such as “sit” and “no”. Did I mention I am housetrained, and I walk well on a leash? If you are interested in adopting me, my foster mom said she will be glad to tell you even more wonderful things about me, like my beautiful red fur and my soft expressive eyes! Hope to hear from you soon! ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. CONTACT US AT 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com
