Scruffy's Story...
Hello! My name is Scruffy. I'm a delightful young man whose estimated birthday is July, 2011. I was found wandering around lost in the streets of Green Bay, WI in July, 2013. My owners didn't come to find me, so Happily Ever After took me in so that I could find a new forever home! I was adopted by a nice family, but it was discovered that I didn't do very well with small children in my space. I'm very mellow, and get along with other dogs very well! In addition, I'm an awesome lap dog, and am content just hanging out around you wherever you are! I promise to be a faithful companion, and I sure hope that you stop by HEA's Green Bay Adoption Center to meet me soon! Hugs, Scruffy **PS: you may recognize me as "AC188" from Packerland Veterinary Center's Green Bay Lost Pets website!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scruffy, a Green Bay Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Green Bay, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Green Bay.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Green Bay already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Green Bay breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Green Bay paves the way for another one to be saved.
