Palermo's Story...
Palermo is a 10 week old puppy who was dumped at a high kill shelter along with his siblings and mother while they were just weeks old. Palermo's mom is a 14 pound Spaniel Mix and we are stumped as to what Palermo's breed is (whatever the mix is, he sure is cute!). He possibly has some shepherd in him and we expect him to be a small dog when grown. Palermo is sweet as can be and is ready for his forever home. If you are interested in adopting this little boy, please fill out our online application: http://www.theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Palermo, a San Diego Chihuahua/Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Chihuahua/Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Chihuahua/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
