Jerry's Story...
Jerry is part of a litter that was born to a feral mom. Once the kittens were weaned, Mom was spayed and relocated to a safe barn home. All of the kittens were socialized are now looking for their own forever home. We are estimating their birth date as mid May. They will be spayed/neutered in the coming week and ready to go home in early August. Jerry would love to be adopted with one of his siblings to have as a playmate.

Jerry plays so hard that his whiskers are nubs from his siblings chewing on them while they wrestle. He likes to burrow into your arms and get belly rubs.

Adoption fees for kittens are $95. Adoption fees for adult cats are $65. There is a discounted adoption rate if you adopt a pair. All felines are spayed/neutered, FIV/FeLV tested, dewormed, flea treated, and UTD on vaccinations prior to adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jerry, a Battle Creek Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Battle Creek, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Battle Creek.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Battle Creek already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Battle Creek breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Battle Creek paves the way for another one to be saved.
