Jerry's Story...
Jerry's about 9 months old and about 12 lbs. He wants to be a friendly guy but is a little shy. We have not had him around kids yet, but I think he'll be his shy sweet self. Jerry wants to be with people. I think he's just a little overwhelmed with all the changes in his life- from home to animal control and now to us. Jerry is UTD with his shots, neutered, microchipped, and on HW preventative. If you are interested in more info 386-236-8529.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jerry, a Ormond Beach Dachshund/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in Ormond Beach, or seeking a Dachshund/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in Ormond Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ormond Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ormond Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Dachshund/Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ormond Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
