Calla's Story...
Meet beautiful Calla she was rescued days before she was due to be put to sleep at a local shelter due to over crowding. How anyone could put this wonderful girl to sleep if beyond us! Calla is a 6 month old Black Lab Mix, we think maybe some Pointer or Collie as she is more petite than a Lab with a black and white fluffy chest. She has a beautiful short shiny coat. For her age Calla is very well behaved, house trained, crate trained, good on a leash, gets along great with other dogs, cats and LOVES children. She loves to walk, play and swim but she can also be mellow and just hang out and nap. Right now she is just 30lbs and could use to gain some weight but fully grown she will only be around 40-50lb at the most. Calla's adoption fee is $150 and she will spayed and up to date on all shots before she is adopted. Please contact us for an application form if you would like to meet this beautiful girl and before her foster Mom totally falls in love with her!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Calla, a Largo Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Largo, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Largo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Largo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Largo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Largo paves the way for another one to be saved.
