My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The story about this girl will bring tears to your eyes.......I saw her picture online. she was a stray at the OKC shelter. I tagged her and then waited for 4 days before I could pick her up and bring her home. I wondered why she was even still available........ and thought myself lucky!!

I was Lucky indeed.. I went to get her and right way noticed that her front leg was deformed. I did not care, and really it made me love her even more!!! It was raining and so I named her Rainy and we went home to have a bath and get wormed, etc. then we were headed to the vet. I noticed it was not only the one front leg, but both that are deformed! she can not stand up on those front legs!

We did x-rays at the vet office and it is so sad. and the vet says it is probably very painful. she lays down most of the time and when moving around, she in on her Elbows. but that's where the deformity is! I have sent the x-rays to a surgeon to see if there is anything we can do to fix her legs. Otherwise, I have begun looking for her a wheelchair for the front legs.

she is cream longhaired Chihuahua that is 2 years old, and weighs 5.6 pounds. she is very loving and sweet. I try to carry her a lot so she does not have to hobble. PLEASE say prayers if you are reading this, that we can correct her problem. she is young and deserves a chance at a good pain free life!!!

Her adoption fee will be $150.00 when she is ready to go. Please note: no children in the home, a securely fenced yard is a must. and I am looking for a stay at home mom so you will have lots of time to spend with her!

she is fostered by Barb
