Sweet BELLA is in a foster home now, where as suspected, she is doing amazing! She is being fostered by a family that has children, other dogs and a cat and Bella is behaving so well with everyone. She loves people and can play and play but then when it’s time to settle she goes belly up and can be at rest for just as long. She loves to play with balls and doggie toys of all kinds. She often loses them under the couch but Bella doesn’t have to worry because the children in her foster family (especially their 6 yr old) love to bring out their flashlights to find Bella’s lost toys for her. Bella waits patiently but with excitement; it’s as if she’s made a game of losing her toys, loving every moment of the children’s assistance in finding them; ) She is one smart cookie! Bella is housebroken, crate-trained, walks well on a leash and is working on learning some basic commands. She is quite the lady and is most gentle in her manners with an occasional spunk that makes everyone smile. She is such a love and will make such a wonder companion. Please consider Bella! OUR ORIGINAL PLEA: PLEASE help us save Bella from imminent death at the high-kill-shelter she's in before it's too late!!! The shelter is full...hundreds of dogs...not just in runs...but in crates lined up/stacked up against the hallway walls:*( The shelter is doing the best that they can with very little resources but the intake flow does not slow and we cannot keep up. Rescues are full and rescue resources are also limited these days. Dogs, even young dogs and puppies are dying every day in unimaginable numbers. Don’t turn away…thinking a pup like this would never be put down because she may be (many have been and will continue to be unless we keep at it). Our rescue dogs are all from the tri-state area. These are our animals in need! PLEASE help us stop the dying here at home! Just one dog at a time makes a difference! Apply to foster or adopt Bella TODAY!!!
A SHELTER VOLUNTEER WROTE: Bella is one of the most attractive puppies ever. She has beautiful eyes that can be puzzled or tender depending on the moment. Her coat has spots of various sizes and arranged in various patterns. An amazing spunky oreo girl... Bella is welcoming in her kennel. She has bright eyes, a big smile and is a real wiggelbutt. She likes other dogs met in the street, wagging her tail in a friendly manner and loves the sounds of children coming her way. Bella loves to be in the yard off leash. She runs toward me…off she goes and back… having lots of fun. Bella runs after the ball, might catch it in her mouth but mostly cajoles it between her forelegs. She can self-entertain. She is truly a puppy at play, full of life, clumsy and carefree. Bella is an amazing youngster, playful, lively, affectionate and so pretty. She will need some puppy training but all puppies do and she is so worth it! Bella will make a most awesome companion as a grown up. She's approx 1 year young and approx. 40 pounds.
