Martha's Story...
Hi my name is Martha. I am 5 years old and weigh 40 pounds. I was rescued from a high kill shelter with my 5 newborns. I was a devoted mother. They are all gone on to be happy with new families. Now it's my turn. I love to go for walks. I'm not overly active and would like a older couple or person who likes to garden and sit in the sun. I look kinda funny, I'm long like a basset hound but, flufy like a schnauzer. I have a loving nature and want somebody to love and someone to love me back. Are you that special person. For more information please contct friends4lifek9@aol.com My adoption fee is $200

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Martha, a Apex Basset Hound/Schnauzer (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/Schnauzer (Miniature) for sale in Apex, or seeking a Basset Hound/Schnauzer (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Apex.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Apex already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Apex breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/Schnauzer (Miniature) breeders who help with Basset Hound/Schnauzer (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Apex paves the way for another one to be saved.
