My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Max and like so many others, I have a sad story that needs a happy ending! First, the only human I’d ever known moved away and left me abandoned in her apartment. Her mom came and got me then took me to several area shelters but was told they were too full to take me until sometime in September. So she took me to her house and, because she didn’t like cats, she kept me in her car! :-0 Because she didn’t care anything about me, she made an appointment with a local veterinary clinic to have me euthanized – she wanted me "put down" because she didn't want to be bothered with me (her words!). Luckily the vet's receptionist is a Stray Central volunteer and she asked the lady if she would spend the money to get my vaccinations current then surrender him to Stray Central instead of having me killed. Luckily for me she agreed and my life was spared! :-) Not so lucky was that my FeLV/FIV test came back FeLV+ so I will need a special home. I’m in a VERY temporary foster home but need either a longer term foster situation or, of course, preferably, a furrever home. I’m 6 years old, neutered, front declawed, and 16 pounds of nothing but love!!
