Shinto -- Courtesy Post's Story...
Here are Shinto & Sushi, 9 yr old bonded brother/sister purebred Akitas. They have been recently temperament tested with good results-- very sweet & calm, housebroken, and love people. The owner states they are good with kids and have lived with cats. They have been altered and will have current rabies. They have recently been vetted, & Akita-S.O.S. (Akita-Save Our Seniors) is willing to assist with medical costs for permanent foster/adoption. Please email privately ASAP for more information. These two are currently in Michigan but will be coming to the NJ/NY/PA/DE area soon to a short-term foster home. Owner lost home, moving to a condo in FL that allows no pets.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shinto -- Courtesy Post, a East Amherst Akita dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Akita for sale in East Amherst, or seeking a Akita dog from a breeder in East Amherst.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in East Amherst already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a East Amherst breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Akita breeders who help with Akita rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in East Amherst paves the way for another one to be saved.
