Sarah's Story...
Sarah is a gorgeous Cocker Spaniel that had been severely neglected by her previous owner, then dumped at the county shelter. The Pet Rescue Center saved her and gave her the medical treatment she required. Sarah is approximately 6-8 years old, has been spayed, micro-chipped, and is up to date on her shots. She would do well in many home enviroments and likes other small dogs. She has a huge smile all of the time and her little tail never stops wagging. This is a girl who really needed a second chance and has gratitude glowing out of her. She will make the right family very, very happy. Come meet her today and see if she is your girl!

Pets are visited by appointment (times are flexible). Please email Casey Oliver at to arrange a meeting time. This process allows potential adopters to spend adequate time with their prospective pet and prevents long wait times.
All interested parties must fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed to find the best possible match. You can find our application online at: Completed applications can be faxed to (949) 743-5878 or emailed to:
Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs and $150 for cats, and includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming, regular veterinary check-ups, and current vaccinations. This fee helps to defray the costs of medical care, supplies and boarding while the animals are in our care.
The Pet Rescue Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization that seeks to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome pets from high kill shelters and is temporarily housed inside the Alicia Pet Care Center at 25800 Jeronimo Rd. Suite 100, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sarah, a Mission Viejo Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Mission Viejo, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Mission Viejo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mission Viejo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mission Viejo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mission Viejo paves the way for another one to be saved.
