Leland's Story...
Leland is a 9 month old long haired chihuahua/jack russell terrier mix. He has grown up in a home with small kids, dogs and cats. He is a lovely and playful small dog who weighs about 10 pounds.

A $175.00 adoption donation helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neuterd, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases, microchipped and vaccinated for rabies, distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites if needed. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as surgeries and dentals. For more information or apply to adopt at www.augustadogadoptions.org or call 540-396-3666.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leland, a Staunton Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Staunton, or seeking a Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Staunton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Staunton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Staunton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Staunton paves the way for another one to be saved.
