Flicker is a 40-pound Norwegian Elkhound around 7 years old who finds himself in need of a new forever home following the permanent hospitalization of his caregiver. This calm and gentle soul is still somewhat confused and sad over the recent changes in his life, but will soon bounce back once he settles in with a new family and routine. The stress of missing his people combined with his past diet of people food, much of it inappropriate, has caused some skin issues but this is being treated and improvement has already been seen. Typical of his breed, Flicker will need regular brushing to minimize shedding and help him look his best. Flicker is very good with children and other dogs, and is an easy passenger in the car. He can be left at home alone while his people are at work without any problems. Flicker enjoys going for walks and also likes spending time hanging out in the backyard. If you have been looking for an easygoing adult companion, Flicker is anxious to meet you.
