I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.
Shivers (real name) is a 9 1/2 year old spayed female Schnauzer whose owner could no longer care for her. She will be available for adoption on August 15th after 6pm. It is reported that Shivers is good with other dogs, but does like to chase cats when they come in her back yard. Her previous owner had four children from baby age on up, and she was very good with them. She loves to ride in the car and go places with her people. She has had no formal training, but appears to be well behaved. Shivers, although house trained does have an occasional accident when there is a lot of activity and noise going on in the house. She becomes stressed when a lot of children/kids are coming and going making a lot of noises. Shivers will need to go to a quiet home where she is the center of attention, can be someones companion while they watch television, read a book, etc. This is a beautiful girl and will win your heart very quickly.
If you want to apply for Shivers click here. You can then email the application to the Meridian Humane Society.Applications are now being accepted, and a visitation with the dog is encouraged. All applications will be considered and the adoption coordinator will call the person chosen to adopt the dog after the available date.
