Petey's Story...
Petey is simply muich cuter in person, I will work on getting better pictures. He is a 10-12 month old Pointer Mix who was came from a pointer "breeder", looks like a neighbor snuck into the yard. .He is happy and sweet and loves to give kisses. Petey is about 35 lbs now. He had a bad case of demodectic mange but has been treated and cleared by the vet! Now he is finally ready (after months) to go to a home!! He has beautiful golden eyes and goofy ears!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Petey, a Portsmouth Pointer/American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer/American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Portsmouth, or seeking a Pointer/American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Portsmouth.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portsmouth already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portsmouth breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer/American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with Pointer/American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portsmouth paves the way for another one to be saved.
