ERNIE's Story...
ERNIE is a super playful, friendly, happy-go-lucky, active Brussels Griffon that was rescued from a city shelter in an extremely matted condition. We shaved off all his old hair, and discovered the CUTEST Brussels Griffon underneath!

ERNIE is still a puppy--less than a year old--and he loves to play. His favorite thing to do is throw a stuffed toy to himself over and over again. He would do great in a home with another playful dog who is looking for a buddy. He'd be good with kids, though he's very active, so he may make very young children nervous.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

ERNIE, a Chicago Brussels Griffon/Schnauzer (Standard) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Brussels Griffon/Schnauzer (Standard) for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Brussels Griffon/Schnauzer (Standard) puppy from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Brussels Griffon/Schnauzer (Standard) breeders who help with Brussels Griffon/Schnauzer (Standard) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
