My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tawny is one beautiful girl, both in body and in soul of around 1 1/2 years old and around 30 pounds. She came to us from a shelter with her seven pups (that all look like Husky or Klee Kai mix pups). We believe she is a Manchester Terrier mixed with German Shepherd or Australian Blue Heeler. Though she had every right to be stressed, she was ever so happy to be loved and gives so much love in return it's unbelievable.

Tawny's pups all found their new homes and Tawny is now ready to find a new home and family to call her very own.

Tawny LOVES toys and playing, and most of all, to be loved on. She is great with people of all ages and sizes, gets along great with dogs of all shapes and sizes, and even ignored our cat. Tawny is not a barker unless there is actually something to be barked at. However, on occasion, she has been known to carry on a very serious conversation with us with her "talking" - very cute and sweet.

This is truly one amazing girl of just the right size with so much love to give. If you are interested in meeting this beautiful soul please email us for the application or go to our website - throwmeabonedogrescue.org - and complete/submit the application under the resources tab.

All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live.

Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed, de-flea'd, is up to date on shots, is spayed/neutered, microchipped, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a leash & collar, and a folder containing pertinent records.
