My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Buttercup. I'm probably a plott hound or a greyhound mix although I could also pass as a TN treeing dog or mountain cur. Versatility is my middle name. Whatever my mix, it is just the right combination to make me a sweet, friendly, playful little dog. All I need now is YOU. I am around 5-6 months of age.
I found out today (8/23) that I have a heart murmur. I can run like the wind and play as much as I want to and I don't have any symptoms. It may not shorten my life, but there is a possibility that it will.
I am such a sweet puppy that my foster mom is willing to pay for my vetting. I was spayed on 8/27 and did great. I'm all healed now and ready for my new home. The best possible home will be chosen.

Buttercup needs a home where she will be kept at a good weight and exercised. She should be fed good quality food (like Fromm or home cooked meals!), given the minimum vaccinations ....no annual vaccinations (they are no longer recommended by any vet school anyway) and taken in for annual check-ups.

Buttercup loves kids and is good with strangers and other dogs. She would be an ideal dog for an older person or couple or someone who is home a lot. She loves attention and is very sweet natured. She is curious about cats but doesn't seem interested in hurting one. She has a lot of love to give and deserves a good home with lots of love and attention in return.

From her foster mom: Buttercup came to us as a stray. She is very loving and gentle. We have not cat tested her yet so if you have a cat let us know and we will check her out. She will be up to date on vaccinations, heart worm preventative, flea/tick meds, etc. She walks fine on leash, is good in the car and is working on her house training.
