My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Watson is a 2 year old yellow Lab/Bassett hound mix. He has the body of a Bassett, but the personality of a yellow Lab!

Hi! Wanna play? I'm Watson, and I'm about the perfect sidekick! I'm even sidekick sized! I'm about 2 years old, and I'll admit, I haven't had anyone show me the proper way to act in the house, but my foster home is helping me to become the perfect dog that I know I can be! I really like running around the backyard with my foster brothers, and I do like a good game of fetch! I'm the perfect gentleman when it comes to eating, waiting my turn and sharing food and water like a boss! Like any good lab, I'm a little hard-headed, but all I want to do is please you and be around my family, and PLAY!

I love kids, but because I'm still working on my manners around the house, older kids (7 and older) would be best so I don't knock them over! Being an adolescent lab, I'd love to have a doggy friend to play with, but I'd be OK by myself as long as I get lots of exercise and wasn't left alone too long! I am crate trained, though. I like sleeping in my crate in the bedroom, and I sleep all night!

My hobbies include: long walks anywhere you want to go (and I'm pretty good on leash), playing in the sprinklers, playing fetch, and chewing on your shoe (oh wait, I'm learning that's bad)

I'd love to have a confident leader that can continue to show me what good behavior is, and I'd love it even more if we could go to some training classes. I think I'd be great at agility (with my low center of gravity and all)! If you're looking for a fun dog that will make you laugh and will always be happy to see you, that's me!
