BEAKER's Story...
Beaker is super sweet, but still really shy. The shelter can be a scary, overwhelming place to some dogs. Beaker knows how to sit and stay when told. He's an 8 month old, 16 pound small Manchester Terrier. He is already neutered and has tested heart worm negative! Beaker came to the shelter as a stray on 8/2 and is now available for adoption. He is up to date on shots, neutered, heart worm negative, and will be micro-chipped upon adoption. Come see Beaker in his Temporary Cage (you may have to ask for him by his ID 558268).

When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by volunteers. This beautiful pet and many others need a forever, loving home and are available for adoption from the Cobb County Animal Shelter, 1060 Al Bishop Drive Marietta, Georgia 30008, call (770) 499-4136 for more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

BEAKER, a Marietta Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
