Meet Kayleigh - otherwise known as Kay! Kay was found all alone at 6 weeks of age in a sewer drain during a thunderstorm. Kay is now three years old and still looking for her forever home! Despite the scary beginning, Kayleigh has remained healthy and full of spunk. She's the life of the party in her foster home, keeping everyone laughing. She loves to play with her people as well as her dog and cat foster sisters. While Kay loves to play, she's equally good at being mellow, relaxing in front of the fireplace or watching the outside world from a window sill. Kayleigh is neat and tidy with her litter box and uses her scratching post reliably. Since sitting still is no fun, Kay gets her nail trims while eating and does fabulous! She purrs when snuggling up to her foster mom and is learning to bond to other people through play since she can be shy when visitors come over. Kayleigh is also learning how to do tricks through clicker training and can do sit, spin, give five, sit pretty and is learning to jump through a hula hoop! Kay loves to learn and is very smart! Although she is a busy and active girl, she would do best in a home with people that are low key. She really likes her dog foster sister, who is a middle aged, mellow dog and is really good with cats. Kayleigh hasn't lived with children and would do best with older children in a quiet household. Kayleigh also has a Facebook page where she posts about her fun and healthy life with FIV, with the hopes of changing the negative stereotypes that have been placed on FIV+ cats. Looking for a cat to put a smile on your face and experience life's adventures with you? Kayleigh is your girl! With loads of personality, she will keep you laughing for years to come.

Kayleigh is only listed as "special needs" because she is FIV+. She needs to go to a home as an only cat or live with other FIV+ cats.
