Hi, Im Mona! Im a 10lb, 5 yr old, Pomeranian recently rescued from an awful puppy mill where they shaved my back to hide the really bad matting (so I may look a little funny right now). Although I was kept in an awful cage, now that I am free, Im a little hesitant about my new surroundings outside of the cage. My foster mommy has been working with me on learning to trust humans. She says she is so proud of me because despite my fear of coming outside my cage, I am house trained, will follow her upstairs to her bedroom for night time sleep, and will take treats from her hand. She keeps making me sit with her and although it is nice to be snuggled with her, she keeps touching me (softly) which makes me twitch and whine. It doesn't hurt but Im just afraid it will. I have never growled or snarled, but small kids or a loud/noisy house probably is not the best, as I am already scared. When my foster mommy isn't looking, I like to dance, wag my tail, pant, and get excited right behind her. Shhhhh, don't tell her, she might think I like her! I really am quite a sweet girl, who really wants a home and family of her own, but I just need someone who has patience and will let me come out of my shell on my time, not theirs. A home with a fenced yard is best, since Im still learning this whole leash and harness thing, but I've never tried to run away or escape. There are a bunch of other foster siblings in the home and I don't really mind them, so if you have a few, I'm okay with that!
