Sophie's Info...

I am already spayed.

Sophie's Story...
I am a 10 yr old female yellow Lab who weighs around 75 lbs . I landed in a shelter because my mom could no longer care me or my sister, Sadie, a black Chihuahua. We are now in foster care looking for a forever home. Sadie is also looking for a forever home too. She’s a real cutie so please check her out too! I get along great with all dogs especially little dogs. I am extremely gentle with little dogs. I don’t have any known medical problems. Although at 10, my hips are not what they were when I was a pup. I am looking for a home with another dog as I know I would be extremely lonely by myself. I am crate trained and housetrained.

Both Sophie and Sadie are spayed/ heartworm tested (negative) and current on all shots / been on flea and tick preventative.

Please contact Jacque at hahsfostermom@embarqmail.com. Rev 10-01-13.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophie, a Overland Park Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
