Bugsy's Story...
Hi my name is Bugsy! I'm still a puppy and LOVE to play. I definitely keep my foster siblings on their paws. I'm always looking for something to do, and someone or something to play with. I love playing tug, and wrestling. I also think it's fun to chase my foster siblings when they have a toy that I want. I also like to follow my foster parents around. I love attention and belly rubs and head scratches. As much as I like to play, I'm really good with my feline foster siblings. They sometimes wrestle, and I want to get in on it. But my foster mama tells me to stop, and squirts me with a squirt bottle, and then I know to leave them alone. I'm really good with dogs of all sizes. And since I'm a puppy, I do just want to play with everyone that I meet. But after playtime, I just like to snuggle up with my foster siblings. I haven't been around many kids. But since I am a puppy, I can sometimes be snippy, but that just means I want to play. I think that I could get used to having kids around me so that I could have an extra somebody to play with! I really love everything! I love people, and other dogs. I like toys, and playing. I like going on car rides, but need help on leash. I can sometimes bark at new dogs when meeting them, but it just means I want to play! Some of the commands that I know are "sit," "come," and "off." I am completely potty trained now! I also like being in the crate when my foster parents are away. I get a treat every time I go in. So I love going in their. My foster parents think that I am the best puppy! And would do great in a home with another sibling. I'm more of a follower than a leader. I definitely need someone to play with. I love to run free in the backyard, so a house with a fence, would probably be best! I also need someone that would let me cuddle in bed. Snuggling at night is one of the best things about me, that's what my foster mama thinks at least.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our adoptable Cupids we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We think what is more important is to get to know each dog as an individual and then do our best to describe each of our adoptable Cupids based on their personality in order to determine if they will make a good companion based on your lifestyle. We dot like a dog to be "labeled". Dog behavior is not a breed thing exclusively. It is a complex mix of nature and nurture.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bugsy, a West Allis Boxer/American Staffordshire Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in West Allis, or seeking a Boxer/American Staffordshire Terrier puppy from a breeder in West Allis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Allis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Allis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with Boxer/American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Allis paves the way for another one to be saved.
