Zack was a feral "abandoned in Homestead" dog who was picked up by MDAS and was on the euth list when we saved him. There was something about those sad yet smiley eyes that melted my heart, and the fact that he was such a handsome boy, yet so neglected. He was so confused about whether people wanted to help or harm him. After a few months in boarding and being handled by the staff there, he started to make people friends and started to trust. He finally allowed himself to be shaved and allow us to pick the ticks off. But his rehab isn't done yet. He needs to be allowed to run free and be loved by a knowledgeable animal lover to go all the way to becoming a home body that can live with people like domestic dogs do.
