Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Cami has been waiting patiently, but is really, really ready to settle down and unpack her bags for the last time. She celebrated her 5th birthday with us last year. She celebrated her 6th birthday with us this year. She loves her foster mom, but she really needs a forever home of her very own.
Cami is very intelligent, spirited and energetic 5 1/2 year old.. She does not do well with cats or small dogs.5 She is very affectionate and will follow you around to be close to you, but she wants to be the star attraction. Cami does well with medium to large laid back dogs. Cami was returned through no fault of her own.
ADOPTIVE HOME NOTES:
I want to be loved by you and I will love you back in spades. Cami has been with me for a week and she has just fallen into home life. She is very comfortable and loves the doggie door. She eats well and loves it when I add a little yogurt or cottage cheese to her kibble. Cami also loves her walks (we walk about three miles daily) and does well on the leash. She loves toys and still acts like a kid when someone comes to visit. She will do anything to please you and just wants to be close. She really has made herself at home and seems to be very comfortable with herself. Cami does well with other dogs of medium size.
FOSTER UPDATE:
Cami is a very confident dog, who is living successfully with a male greyhound. She might do OK with with a submissive male companion dog. Cami loves to walk and is friendly with all people she meets big and small, but she does have a high prey drive for small animals. She likes car rides.
Household noises, including the vaccumm don't bother her. She can use a doggy door with ease. She whine a little when first left alone and is excited to see the foster return. Cami has been left in the house without being destructive.
For a greyhound, she is very energetic and will run around the house playing and throwing her stuffies. She has ignored the swimming pool.
Cami is a very affectionate dog with lots of energy. Because of her high energy level and high prey drive, she should be walked with a harness. She would do well a home as an only dog with people who are around most of the time. She would perhaps enjoy the company of another large submissive dog, who understands that she is alpha. Becasue of her energy level, a home with very small children may not be suitable.
