My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATED BIO 10/26/2013: Chloe is 10 years young and weighs 8.8 lbs which is a perfect weight for her! Chloe is being fostered in The Villages, FL.

Chloe is a very sweet and extraordinarily sociable little yorkie girl who loves everybody and everypuppy she meets. She will happily approach and greet a stranger and an unknown dog without hesitation (must be careful about this!). Chloe is a happy and healthy little girl; although she is a bit on the hearing-impaired side. This helps during Florida’s summer daily thunderstorms, and she will not bark when someone comes to the door. Many hearing-impaired dogs bark for attention, and Chloe did a lot of barking when she came to her foster home, but that only happens now when she needs to go out. Yeah! She will whine a bit when she is hungry or when food is being prepared, but Foster Mom is working on that as it isn’t pleasant to for the human who isn’t hearing impaired, lol!

Chloe loves to eat, and came into UYR weighing a very obese 13+ lbs! She is now down to her svelte appropriate weight, but she has obviously been used to eating from the table, which should never be allowed as table food can kill small dogs like yorkies. Chloe only eats from her bowl and does not receive any commercial treats which can quickly put weight on dogs. Her meal is supplemented with vegetables and she is very well satisfied, feels much better and can now run ~ yippee! She feels sooo much better and has much more energy and doesn’t sleep as much.

Chloe would love a home where there was at least one stay-at-home person as she loves her person and enjoys lying by them when they are watching TV or reading. She loves to go for walks and enjoys all the smells along the way and meeting other doggies and their people as well. Chloe would be the perfect little dog to take to a senior living facility as she loves everyone she meets and will sit quietly to be petted.

Please don’t turn away from Chloe because of her age; she still has a lot of love and happiness to give to someone and she deserves a forever home that she will never ever have to leave. She has had several homes in her lifetime, and she deserves a true FURever home with someone who will love her just the way she is. Could that someone be you?
