Arwen is 6 years old. He is a beautiful dog that has come a long way from his days as a breeder dog in a puppy mill. Arwen gets along well with other dogs, is housetrained, loves car rides, and walks well on a leash. However, due to being undersocialized as a young dog he can be protective and temperamental. Anyone who knows the Pekingese breed will understand what that means. He is all Pekingese, but it is magnified due to his early life in a puppy mill. Arwen needs a permanent home with someone who understands the Pekingese breed and who is dog savvy (possible experience with puppy mill dogs). Arwen does not tolerate children at all so he should not be in a home where children are part of the deal. He tends to bond well with his caretaker and can be a wonderful companion in the right home.
