My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am Fred. I am a Small Tan Male Beagle with a Grey Muzzle. I am approximately 7.5 years old. I have had a difficult life. I came into the shelter with a lacerated throat after having been terrorized by a community member. I am terrified of men, however I will allow them to approach me gently now and even pet me if I am in the crate and they are kind and speak in a soft voice. I do excellent on a lead and I know the 'Stay' command. I do well around older children but have never been around small children. I find cats boring and tend to ignore them. I do well w/ most dogs, although I have exchanged dirty looks w/ an unaltered male in the neighborhood of my foster home. I am crate trained and will go outside to potty, however I do occassionally try to mark on my way out the door. Hopefully, my recent neuter will solve this once my system has regulated. I love to snuggle! I adore women, so any single ladies looking for a furrever furbaby hit me up.;-)



The adoption fee for dogs is $125 and that includes:



• veterinarian examination



• current vaccines



• current flea, intestinal parasite, and heartworm prevention



• spay/neuter



• a microchip for identification if ever lost or stolen



• current heartworm test
