Silas's Story...
Silas is a super sweet 6 yr old Terrier/ Maltese mix who was originally found at a crowded shelter where he was dumped by his previous owners. He found a wonderful new home in 2008 but sadly there was a recent death in the family and he must find a new home. He is a very friendly and loving. Silas is great with other dogs but loves to be with human companions. He would be best in a home without cats. Per his current owner - "He is healthy, full of love and energy to play, love to do big jobs like protecting the house and letting you know when someone in by the door. He would do great if he be with someone who takes him hiking and outdoors to use his energy, or in a big house where he can feel he is protecting it or with younger dogs who he can play and run around with. This is what am hoping to find for him."

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Silas, a Encino Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in Encino, or seeking a Maltese dog from a breeder in Encino.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Encino already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Encino breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Encino paves the way for another one to be saved.
