Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Gorgeous! That's all we can think of to describe this girl. She has eyes of blue that are so striking in her black and white face - thus the name Sapphire.
Sapphire is around eight months old and is so Border Collie in personality it's hard for us to guess what other breed she has in her that would give her the blue eyes - Australian Shepherd??? Husky??? We just don't know.
Sapphire is a little on the cautious side with new people and she is working on not being startled by loud noises. She is sweet and gentle and then, watch out, when she gets in her playful mood she can run lickety split around the yard in a full out sprint only to come back and sit next to you for love.
Sapphire loves the dogs in her foster home, from large to tiny, and thinks they all want to play with her. A few of the older ones have corrected her a few times but she just comes bounding back after showing submission.
We are looking for a home for this beauty where her people know and love the Border Collie and herding breeds. If you think you might be the right family for her please email us for the application.
All potential adopters are expected to complete an application and provide pictures of their yard, patio, and/or balcony making sure we can see the fence line and/or railing. Applications will be reviewed for approval before setting an appointment to come meet and possibly adopt the dog of interest. In addition, those who live in a rental property are expected to provide proof that they are allowed to have a dog where they live.
Each of our rescued dogs has been de-wormed, de-flea'd, is up to date on shots, is spayed/neutered, microchipped, and has been fully examined by a veterinarian. In addition, each adopted dog comes with a starter baggie of the food it has been eating, a few treats for training purposes, a rawhide chew, a leash & collar, and a folder containing pertinent records.
