Caroline's Story...
'Sweeeeeet Caroline....dah, dah, dah...' Oh, hello cat lovers! My name is Caroline. You caught me right as I was singing my favorite song. I love that Neil Diamond. Caroline is a dainty name, yes it is. I guess I might be describes as dainty. I am certainly a very pretty gray and white girl with light green eyes. I hope you see how special I am and invite me into your family.

I’m at the shelter because my prior home was not the right place for me. I was not loved in the way that I deserve and now I am hear looking for a new start. I’m a little shy when you first meet me, so please take the time to get to know me. You see, this is a strange environment for me and it's hard for me to be outgoing. I’m sure I will get acclimated to your home quickly and be a very happy kitty! I am young girl with many, many years of love to give. I absolutely love being scratched on my back and I will even do 'downward facing cat' pose, which is my attempt at yoga. Ommmmmm. I would love a nice window to rest in and get some sun. I also love toy balls to bat around. Or, just to curl up on the couch next to you. Treats and fresh water are lovely too. I am generally nonplussed by the other cats around here, though I mostly keep to myself. I do know that dogs make me nervous, but I think I would be fine with children.

Please come visit me! It makes me happy to meet new people that will pet and pay attention to me. I would be very excited to have a forever home!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Caroline, a Denver Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Denver, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
